Recipe for a perfect Christmas gift
Miscellaneous December 13th, 2007“Every gift from a friend is a wish for your happiness.”
This Christmas shine the light of happiness on all your loved ones with that perfect Christmas gift! Now you must be wondering “what is a perfect gift?” There is no thumb rule that sets the criteria for a perfect gift but if you ask me its a kind of a gift that brings a million dollar smile on the face of the recipient.
I have seen people frantically searching for right gifts in shopping malls for hours and hours but even after such a tiring expedition most of them return home empty handed or with “not so right” gifts. Now, what is a right and not so right gift……hmm let’s see the difference. My sister is a complete music freak so on this Christmas I’m gifting her pack of CDs that has a collection of her favorite tunes. For my dad I’m planning to buy a gift that would say “Thanks for being my dad….merry Christmas daddy”. And I know a golf gift basket would do the trick. Now imagine the situation if the gifts are swapped! I’m gifting the CD to my dad (who has no taste for music) and the golf gift to my sis (she stays miles away from it)….a simply perfect gift becoming a no-no gift.
So, prior to gift buying think about the usability of the gift after all you don’t want to land up with a gift that will never be used. Try answering these questions while buying gifts; “Will it be useful, are they going to eat those cookies, is she going to wear this sweater, do they have another carpet sweeper……” After all you don’t want your gift to be hidden in their closet or buried in their garage somewhere.
I admit that I have dozens of gifts that I don’t use and have buried them in no mans land. Do you want that to happen with your gifts….so buy a gift “to give!” It doesn’t have to be with a million dollar tag to be appreciated by the recipient, it simply has to touch his or her chord ![]()

Just do the magic…:). I will be gifting my mother with a pair of kitchen gloves….and would do it much before Christmas. I know that she will be preparing a lot for us. She does not have one and has been complaining about it for a long time. But this would be a surprise for her. Oh I just cant wait for the day I gift it to her to see her reactions.

Gloves for sure.
Hey Nelly I already got a kit for my dad..the perfect golf kit. I caught him admiring close to a sports shop window. I had made up my mind to do it this time. The best thing is that this will be my first gift to Dad and also the best Christmas gift. I really feel happy for this.

Who do you want to gift? Depends of what she or he likes and what you can afford. Tell me?

I will gift my elder brother. He is married.

Hmmm…brother. What does he like to eat then prepare a cake all by yourself and write a nice poem on a hand made card. Otherwise you can give him flowers and also ask your sister in law to be around. She will feel great if you give them together
. Write about your childhood and time spent with him and make a small note book out of it. Give it a name and gift it to your bro.

Amanda you can gift your brother a personalized shirt. All you have to do is get a shirt for him and paint his name on the shirt….personalized gifts are really appreciated.

I fully agree with your ideas. The purpose of a gift is not to shower anyone with luxury.. it is just to express your love and care for them.
